How many of you need more ideas for fast, tasty weeknight
meals? I know we do. With a part-time working mom, more than full-time working
dad, and two young girls with a lot of activities we are a family on the go.
That means dinners are either drive through or quick prep. I vote for the
second. But our family is tired of the same bland meals each week. That is why
I am happy to share that Land O Lakes® has created a simple and tasty
product to help.
The product is called Sauté Express® Sauté Starter and it takes the work out of
the main dish. We used Savory Butter and Olive Oil to make a tasty pork chop
meal and had it on the table in 15 minutes.
Sauté Express® Savory Butter and Olive Oil Pork Chops
- 4 thin cut boneless pork chops
- 2 cubes Land O Lakes® Savory Butter and Olive Oil
- 1 cup dry egg noodles
- 1 cup frozen peas
Heat water for egg noodles on the stove. Place Savory Butter
and Olive Oil cubes in a medium skillet to melt. Once melted add pork chops. Cook
pork chops 4-6 minutes on each side or until no longer pink in the middle. Once
water is boiling add egg noodles and cook for 8-10 minutes until done to your
liking. Heat the peas on the stove or in the microwave. Remove pork chop from
the skillet and place on a plate to serve. Drain noodles once cooked and then
toss in the remaining sauce in the skillet. Serve pork chop whole or cut up for the
younger set. Peas can be tossed in or on the side.
Add cubes.
Melt. Add meat.
Pour noodles in boiling water, stir.
Heat peas in microwave.
Yummy, home-cooked meal on the table in minutes.
Mom, I can't get the noodles on my fork. I'll eat pork instead.
This was such a simple meal that Audrey was able to perform
most tasks involved. Ballerina outfit not required.
Audrey’s Tasks:
- Place cubes in skillet and melt
- Place pork in skillet
- Add noodles and stir
- Toss noodles in sauce
- Cook peas
Mom’s Tasks:
- Gather ingredients
- Turn on the stove
- Assist Audrey
- Turn pork chops
- Drain noodles
This simple product tasks all of the guess work out of what
to make for dinner. There are four delicious flavors: Garlic & Herb,
Italian Herb, Savory Butter & Olive Oil and Lemon Pepper so there is one
that is perfect for your family. Simply melt the cube and add fresh chicken,
fish, pork, or shrimp for a fast tasty meal.

We came home from Audrey’s ballet class at 6:30 PM and had
to get dinner cooked and the girls in bed by 7:30 PM. The only way we were able
to pull that off and still feed the family a health meal was with the Sauté Express® Sauté Starter. Give it a try
yourself and see what I am raving about.
Land O Lakes® is giving away coupons for free product so you can try and be as amazed as we are at how simple a tasty meal can be. What a great easy dinner! Who needs to go through the drive-through... love this recipe but I'm not sure that it would be as tasty without the ballerina cooking it for me!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I am getting used to her help. What will happen during the teenage years when she is too busy to cook with me?
DeleteYour sous chef is quickly taking over the kitchen! I love it!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I always cook in my ballerina outfit! ;-)
My ballerina outfit is at the cleaners...
DeleteCan I borrow Audrey to prepare dinner for me when I'm feeling lazy? She does a great job!
ReplyDeleteIt is getting to the point where she can almost do it alone. She does make breakfast by herself when I go out for a race so dad can sleep.
DeleteBallerina outfit may not be required but it is just too cute!! What great little cooks you have.
ReplyDeleteJust happened to be after dance class. After I took the photos I noticed. She does look cute!
DeleteI need to borrow Audrey as well! This just wouldn't taste as good without all of that cuteness!
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty proud of herself when she can make a tasty meal. Easy to do with this product!
DeleteAudrey is loving the kitchen from a young age...love it! And your quick pork dinner...we're always looking for fast after-work meals.
ReplyDeleteThis was such a simple meal. We used to cook something similar but it wasn't as tasty. Now I know we have a yummy meal idea any time.
DeleteThis looks absolutely delish! Perfect for the busy chef.
ReplyDeleteIt really is as easy as it sounds. Now we don't have to have plain chops any more!
DeleteBallerina outfit not required - but so much more fun! This is such a great, quick meal, I bet my little ones would enjoy making (and eating) it, as well.
ReplyDeleteAudrey stated that she is looking forward to when she can cook all by herself. But I will still need to operate the stove...
DeleteI love the pasta dish, do you think I can borrow your Ballerina chef.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! She requires lots of fruit, plenty of cereal varieties, and Mac N Cheese is her favorite.
Deleteyour daughters will be accomplished chefs in no time. Love that you used pork. looks delicous!
ReplyDeleteI really hope they do remember what they are learning. At the age of 34 I had to learn to cook so I could feed my family a healthy meal.
DeleteI love seeing your daughter help you prepare dinner! Looks like she did a great job ;)
ReplyDeleteShe loves to help! It makes her feel so grown up.
DeleteYou cannot beat a meal that is delicious, and made in minutes. What a great job your chef did :) ~ Bea @ galactosemia in PDX
ReplyDeleteI was really amazed at how tasty a quick meal could be. This product really delivers.
DeleteI love that your daughter did the cooking :)
ReplyDeleteI am loving the ability to get more done because I have more help!
DeleteEasy. Yummy. Quick. Love it! Love the addition of egg noodles, great idea!
ReplyDeleteThe egg noodles cook quick and are flavorful.
DeleteOn the table in minutes, love it!!
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing! We are always rushing home from events and the girls are starved. This was an easy solution.
DeleteI'll eat anything that AUdrey makes for me :-)
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't! She has such a sense of pride when she cooks.
DeleteThe biggest challenge is to arrange our schedules so that we can actually all sit down together. Whether it is working late, a sports event, or after school activity, sometimes we have to actually schedule our dinners together. carolyemola@hotmail.com
