Muffin Tin Monday, Happy Birthday USA!

Berries, yogurt, pretzels, mini marshmallows, Babybel cheddar.

Audrey has been coming home recently talking about the birthday of the earth coming up. I wasn't paying very close attention to her and simply corrected her to say it was (in my opinion) April 22nd. Her daddy was paying attention to her and informed her that it was the birthday of the United States coming up soon. I felt silly.

To counteract that I helped the girls make a very patriotic Muffin Tin Monday Meal. They love fruit so that addition was simple. Audrey dictated the other items she used in her Sunday School class. No need to mess with what works. After they made their tins they spent quite a bit of time 'building' with their food.

Who says playing with your food is bad?

Building the perfect tin.

Food as art.

Go check out what the other kids are having for lunch today at Muffin Tin Monday.

  1. What a wonderful piece of art! I love that she is ready to celebrate our country's birthday!

  2. Aw, I love the little piece they made. They should come to DC and check out the Calder room at the National Gallery of Art.

  3. beautiful! I love that they built with their food!

    1. It is hard to discourage them when they are really having a great time in relation to food.

Audrey wants to hear from you!
