|Strawberry and blueberry yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, strawberry PB&J, and two little tomatoes.|
Today we had a Muffin Tin Monday dinner because I have been working almost non-stop since Friday. This was the first meal I have had with the girls. And to make it a special meal I picked up Crimson and Blue colored food for them to fill their tins with.
|She loved cutting strawberries.|

The reason for the Crimson and Blue tin is because the University of Kansas plays in the NCAA tournament tonight. The entire town is going wild. We decided to stay inside and stay safe.

Today is also the second post for The Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge. Today's prompt is:
Find a quote that inspires you (either positively or negatively) and free write about it for 15 minutes.
Well, writing for 15 minutes with two active children around is not a reality but I did want to include one of my favorite quotes.
From Franklin Roosevelt's First Inauguration: "The only thing we have to fear... is fear itself." (1)
To me that has always meant not fearing everyday life but focusing on what you can change. If you have a family history of high blood pressure and diabetes (as I do) then you should make changes to diet and exercise. You can also talk to your doctor to make sure you are keeping up with your health numbers. I know what my blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol numbers are. But my main focus has always been cooking and eating healthy with girls so I can break that cycle.
This month my friends and I are running a 5k together. We have been training together and helping each other by sharing childcare and teaming up for encouragement. I would invite anyone who has a fear of something new to see if there is something you can do to overcome it.
And check out what the other families are having for Muffin Tin Monday. It might encourage you to make a positive eating change.
