Hawaiian Pizza, A Toddler Meal

We are still getting caught up from being on holiday for five days. That means we have little in the way of food because I just made a quick trip to the store for necessities. As I was contemplating what to have for dinner the girls' daddy let me know he was working late so I decided to let the girls pick dinner. They wanted to have pizza.

We made a quick dough in the bread machine and while it mixed and rose we did a little housework and colored pictures. Even I colored a little.

In times past I have pressed the dough with my hands and has always been a little thick. This time I pulled out some wax paper and a rolling pin. When Maurene saw my implement of choice she ran to her room to grab her mini roller. After I placed a little flour on the counter to access as needed she promptly set about rolling it flat.

I baked the crusts for 10 minutes and then let the girls top them as they desired. Both had a blast and devoured dinner. Makes me happy.

Making the flour flat.

Helping roll (never mind the laundry).
