What's For Lunch Wednesday, A is For Audrey

A continuation of the shapes theme. The girls are enjoying having 101 plus shapes to select from when making lunches. Since Audrey has started back to school she has been talking about the alphabet. She can now recognize the letter "A" and the letter "M." When she learned that there was an alphabet in our box of shapes she wanted to make sandwich cutouts with those letters.

A for Audrey.

M for Maurene.

Setting out the bread.

Mo helps with peanut butter.

Audrey spreads the jam.

The girls have also started to really enjoy making the sandwiches. I usually scoop the peanut butter and jam onto the bread and let them doing the spreading. They don't really get much spread around but it is fun to let them help. Then they help me cut out the shapes and add the remaining ingredients.

This lunch includes watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, pretzel chips, and hummus. It was well received and enjoyed by all.

For other fabulous lunch ideas check out What's For Lunch Wednesday and the bento crew. I am always inspired looking at the submissions.
