Maurene has been my constant kitchen companion. She loves to pull up a chair and help me with any task. I am not certain if she is more interested because she has not been cooking as long or because she likes cooking more than Audrey. Either way I am happy for the help. This meal was perfect for her because she loves to work the pepper mill and toss herbs on top.
This was a nice roast we purchased from Hilltop Farms in bulk before the Saturday Market closed for the season. I wish we had enough money to get two bulk packages because this roast was tasty.
- Pork roast
- stock, about 1 cup
- seasonings
Place all in a slow cooker on low for 6 hours or until cooked through.
We pulled out several seasonings from our cabinet and went a little crazy. Maurene loved placing the dried herbs in the pot.
| Adding a little cracked black pepper. |
This sounds yummy! I need to dig out my crock pot!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Mo!! I'm so glad you liked the roast, I think I'll do the same thing soon. Miss you guys already! I hope you can visit the farm soon. Take care, Dena Hilltop Farms
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reminder that my toddler could be helping me cook even on Crock Pot days! He'd like putting in the cracked pepper, too. :) It is so neat to see your little ones cooking away.
