Local Edition, Sweet! Baking & Candy Making Supply

Last week I had the privilege to attend a Cookie Decorating Party at Sweet Baking & Candy Making Supply sponsored by Best Buy to showcase the All-in-One computers. We received a fabulous demonstration and also Skyped with Bridget from Bake at 350. The entire evening was amazing because of the company of my fellow bloggers and the fun new bakery supply shop in beautiful historic Downtown Lawrence.

So why am I posting all of the this here? Because you need to go to Sweet and get fun new baking supplies. We received a $25 gift certificate and you better believe I used it immediately. After getting some good quality food coloring, new cookie cutters, chocolate melts, piping bags and tips I used up my gift certificate. And then I spotted an adorable little tub of cookie cutters next to the register. All of the shapes were made with a little cut out to place the cookie on a glass of milk. I fell in love and my friend Kristin purchased a heart shaped cutter for Audrey.

We used it to make these:

Yummy healthy dinner.

Cookies they are not but the girls loved making them. We had wagon wheel pasta with an avocado/edemame sauce and heart toasts. Audrey loves making toast. Maurene asked for the tomatoes. I had them sitting on the counter and she begged for them. The girls do not like the texture of fresh tomatoes.

If you have not had a chance to visit Sweet yet, do yourself a favor and stop by this weekend. It is located in the old Bay Leaf spot, 717 Mass. Be sure to get a little cookie cutter with a cut out for your milk glass. Then you can join us in making fun new style cookies for Santa.

  1. I must say, as the resident cook at our house, I was quite impressed with Sweet. That place blew my mind. 'Tis a kitchen paradise. :)
