The girls love cookies. I would love for them to eat green salads. Sadly, we don't all get our way. I resigned myself to making healthier cookies and leaving the greens for another day.
Yesterday I posted pictures from our Zombie Walk dinner. Today I will show you how we made those yummy End of The World Cookies.

|No, I wasn't eating the dough. Why?|
I used a recipe for Oatmeal Cookies from my fabulous Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook. I just love it for all of the basic and easy recipes to make good food.
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups rolled oats
In a medium bowl beat butter and roughly half the flour. Add sugars, egg ,baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla. Stir in cinnamon. Add remaining flour and then oats. Place desired size onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
We added chopped green grapes on top after we placed them on the cookie sheet. Once cooked they looked like they had boils. They were a great hit!
