Muffin Tin Monday, Eggs!

The girls love the ability to make their own meals, with little help from me. I decided to let them crack eggs and cook them in the microwave using silicon muffin cups. Maurene, who had previously been throwing a two year-old tantrum, stopped and jumped at the chance to crack eggs. She really does get excited about learning new skills.

Both girls were given a bowl and an egg. I left Audrey to handle her own egg and tried to work with Maurene. While Maurene's egg did end up in the bowl, with no added shell, she crushed it just like last time. Audrey was able to crack the egg and pull the shell apart, leaving the yolk intact. I am very proud of my little toddler chefs.

Below you see the girls have scrambled eggs, yogurt with local blueberries, teddy grahams, and leftover turkey dogs. They also each got a Crunchy, Munchy Honey Cake. They are fun eat and fun to make. I will share the recipe shortly.

I have no idea...

She was so proud.

They cooked it themselves!

As always, we are participating in Muffin Tin Monday. To see some truly amazing meals head over to see what the other moms came up with. If you have a picky child, serving in muffin tins might be the change you need.

  2. It's so great that they were able to cook this.

  3. What meal! They are such good helpers!
