Chicken, It's What's For Dinner

It may seem like I lead a life of luxury with all of my time for cooking, gardening, blogging, and child herding but I am busy! The girls and I have full schedules, plus I work 10-15 hours a week. I am not getting any sympathy, am I? Regardless, I find that there are many days in which no matter how I plan we just don't have time to slave over dinner. On those evenings instead of grabbing fast food I pull some frozen chicken out and drop it in a glass baking dish. One of the girls will heavily coat it with dried herbs, and we will cook it in the microwave for 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken.

I used to have to pull out 5 or 6 jars of dried herbs to get the flavors I wanted but we were recently given an amazing product, Spike 5 Herb Magic. It has no salt so I have no problem using as much as I want to flavor up our meat. It is a lifesaver. While I am finding side dishes the girls can take turns shaking it on the chicken and then I simply pop the meat in the microwave. We get flavorful chicken every time. They have a full line of seasonings and they sent us samples of each. I have used and enjoy most of the other varieties but this one is my favorite. We will keep a jar of this in the spice cabinet.

Our go-to herb
Also, since 5 Herb is sweet basil, oregano, marjoram, thyme, and rosemary it goes perfect on pizza to give a boring sauce a much needed boost. I recommend purchasing a jar and keeping it around for all your seasoning needs.

Time to make the pizzas
The girls are wearing their Tea dresses again. I told you that you would be seeing a lot of them!
