Snacks are a SNAP Part Five, Cheese!

Cheese is a great source of calcium and protein which growing bodies need. We make sure to purchase a low-fat version to make sure we are not consuming too much fat in our diet. Most children I know love cheese so it is a great food to use to introduce new flavors. We have melted cheese on top of steamed vegetables; grated it into salads; added it to a fruit tray; and baked with it. Here are a few of our favorite recipes:
