Fun and Fitness Friday

Audrey is three years old. It is not hard to get her interested in physical activity. She attends a mommy's day out class at our local gymnastics center and we have summer passes to the pool. Her father has ADHD and sits still as well as a three year old. It seems the entire family is moving, all the time. But for some movement and exercise are not part of daily routine. It is simple to add exercise to your regular day.

  • Turn off the TV, video games, and computers for 30 minutes in the evening and go for a short walk around the neighborhood. 
  • Park at the farthest end of the parking lot at the grocery store 
  • Head to your local park and play for 30 minutes
When you need to refuel, try one of Audrey's favorite energy drinks, a Green Monster. It is packed with nutrition and tastes great! Just don't try to make one and not give her some, it won't go well for you.
