This is another installment to help educate about the problems facing families who receive assistance through SNAP. Please visit our friends at The Kid Can Cook for more about this subject.
They are not as easy for a young child to cook alone but they are great for older children. Eggs are very inexpensive and a great source of protein. I can not tell you how many times we have eggs for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They cook up fast and can make so many different type of meals. We also use them in baking a lot, but that is a different story. Egg recipes:
- Bananas and Scrambled Eggs (previously posted with bananas)
- ABC Frittata
- Cheesy Scrambled Eggs
- Ham, Cheese and Egg Popovers
- Sunshine Toast
Some are easier to create than others. All are tried and tested with picky toddlers. Eggs are such a great bang for your buck, financially and nutritionally.
