Mac 'N Cheese Muffins

I know there is a lot of controversy about Sneaky Chef recipes because they do not teach children to eat vegetables. In our house we like to modify the Sneaky recipes to add nutritious ingredients to foods without being sneaky. Audrey and Maurene help with cooking so they see and discuss all ingredients in our recipes. Today we made fabulous Mac 'N Cheese Muffins. We did not have macaroni noddles so we used penne instead. They still tasted wonderful!

Audrey and Maurene's Tasks:
  1. Crack eggs
  2. Measure and add ingredients
  3. Mix
  4. Fill muffin tins and add cheese
Mom's Tasks:
  1. Gather ingredients
  2. Cook noodles
These were a big hit. You really should check out all of the Sneaky Chef cookbooks as the recipes are worth trying. I recommend having your helpers assist in adding the sneaky ingredients so they learn to enjoy eating their vegetables, regardless of how they are presented.

  2. Absolutely! Vegetables are vegetables. If they eat them pureed in a muffin or plain at the dinner table it makes no difference. I just like the recipes.
