March 1 Menu Planning

Being a mom is hard. Whether you work outside the home or spend most of your time trying to find the missing sippy cup half full of milk (just me?), deciding what to fix for dinner is hard. In order to alleviate that stress I put together a monthly menu, like in those mommy magazines. It contains four weeks of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and side dishes. This way all I have to do is pull up the menu and survey the kitchen for supplies. We make a list and head to the store. A few things are on the shopping list every week: milk, eggs, and usually bread. Audrey is in charge of making sure our produce is rainbow colored:

Some dishes are vague allowing room for seasonal changes like roasted vegetables or seasonal fruit. Here is the menu this week:

Breakfast - Pink Pancakes
Lunch - Muffin Tin Monday
Dinner - Slow Cooker Mac 'n Cheese
Side Dishes - Audrey's Favorite Strawberry Salad

Breakfast - Slow Cooker Berry Oatmeal
Lunch - Picnic in the Park/ Turkey Sandwich Bentos
Dinner - Rachael Ray's Meatloaf Muffin Cups
Side Dish - Mashed Cauliflower

Breakfast - Cold Cereal
Lunch - Bagel and Cream Cheese with Fruit
Dinner - Brown Sugar Pork Chops
Side Dish - Roasted Vegetables

Breakfast - Rainbow Pancakes
Lunch - Nut Butter and Jam Sandwiches with fruit
Dinner - Baked Tilapia
Side Dish - Seasoned Rice

Breakfast - Fluffy Eggs
Lunch - Muffins, Fruit, and Cheese
Dinner - Toddler Meal
Side Dish - Seasonal Fruit

Breakfast - Yogurt, Granola, and Fruit
Lunch - Chicken Wraps
Dinner - leftovers
Side Dish - Seasonal Fruit

Breakfast - Sweet Couscous
Lunch - Crudite and Fruit
Dinner - Oven Fried Chicken
Side Dish - Candied Carrots

We are cooking from this menu this week so I will be posting recipes and pictures soon.
