Grilled Pop Toasts

Another way to make grilled cheese, with a toaster! This idea came from an article in about making quick and easy pop toasts. I changed the filling to cheese and we have a great lunch idea that the girls devoured. I paired these with sliced apples and even I wanted seconds. The girls both enjoyed this easy meal a lot.

Grilled Pop Toasts
  • 2 slices bread, crust cut off
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 slice cheese

Butter both pieces of bread, and place cheese on one slice. Put other piece of bread on top. Use the tines of your fork to seal the bread slices together. Toast.

Audrey's Tasks:
  1. Butter bread
  2. Place cheese on top
  3. Put sandwich together
Mom's Tasks:
  1. Gather ingredients
  2. Help Audrey seal with fork
  3. Place in toaster

We did not have sliced cheese and only whole wheat bread on hand. Both worked fine but I would recommend the whole grain white and sliced cheese.

Working meticulously
