Tip of the Day June 28

Bread in a bag is a great way to let your little one get involved with baking. If you follow a few simple tips and test the recipe ahead of time you could easily enjoy this baking experience together. The first time we made it Audrey's sister was in a bad mood and we did not know what we were doing. It turned out fine but only because Audrey's dad was home to help. I recommend the following tips:
  1. Test the recipe one time while the children are away or asleep. That way you know what to expect and where to have your little one help.
  2. Use the best quality bags you can find. Trust me on this one, don't use dollar store bags.
  3. Makes sure everyone is in a good mood and ready to bake. This recipe takes a little longer than some so it is for a nice morning while all the children are still in a good mood.
We also make homemade butter to eat with this. Audrey does not have the patience yet to shake the container long enough but I do have her help.
