Audrey learned to make her Papa Jim's famous French Toast this weekend. Mostly she just ran in to crack the eggs and add the milk and then went back to playing with her cousins. She was in the kitchen for such a short time I was not able to get a picture. But I did get a little better idea of Papa Jim's recipe. He is a purist, who knew?
Papa Jim's French Toast
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 8 slices white bread
Crack eggs into medium bowl and add milk. Whisk until blended. Coat bread in egg mixture and place on an electric skillet at medium for approximately 2-3 minutes and then flip. Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with warm syrup and bacon.
I have had this meal for breakfasts at my dad's house for many years. This is the first time I have ever wondered about the recipe. We will try this again at our house to see if we get the same results.
