Tip of the Day July 6
With the inexpensive prices of fruit lately we have been eating a lot of it. Mostly we have consumed it in its natural state but when fruit gets close to spoiling I have to figure out how to make it taste good. One easy way is to make fruit soup. I used the recipe for our Mango Soup. This is similar to a smoothie but is not so cold. For children who can feed themselves this is great with a sandwich. I have a baby who is still partially spoon fed and I mixed hers with a little baby cereal to thicken it. The soup also freezes very well and can be consumed in months with less abundant fruit supplies. Audrey loves to help so I let her cut any fruit that does not need to be a specific size.
