Turkey Melts

Audrey's daddy came up with a great lunch for the girls while he was with them this week. Our regular babysitter was away and I am still in class four days a week so dad stepped in to help. It is good to have special time with dad! Besides, he comes up with fun food.

Turkey Melts
  • 2 Slices turkey
  • 2 slices cheese
  • favorite dip
Place turkey (or your favorite lunch meat) on a baking sheet or microwave safe plate. Put cheese on top and roll up. Broil or microwave until cheese is melted. Slice into pinwheels. Serve with ranch or your favorite dip and veggies or fruit on the side.

Audrey's Tasks:
  1. Place meat on baking sheet
  2. Put cheese on top
  3. Help roll up
Mom's Tasks:
  1. Gather ingredients
  2. Help roll up
  3. Heat in microwave
These are a great way to get the cheese and the meat to stick so they can be eaten together. If you have toddlers who pull sandwiches apart, try this trick. Audrey loved to dip hers while Maurene is a purist.
