| Working on her chopping skills. |
Another ice cream themed breakfast (it's hot in Kansas, folks!) this morning. Audrey made a "Banana Split." I got the idea from a new magazine we received in the mail called Chop Chop which is for cooking with your children. We got an annual subscription for $9 and are pretty excited at the first issue.
- 1 banana
- fruit for toppings, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- nuts, chopped
Cut your banana in half length-wise or chop into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl. Put yogurt on top. Place fruit on top and sprinkle with nuts.
Audrey's Tasks:
- Chop banana and fruit
- Place in bowl
- Put yogurt on top
- Sprinkle nuts
- Gather ingredients
I had nothing to do. She made this herself. She did insist that we use the rest of her ice cream from yesterday instead of yogurt. Two-year-olds can be demanding. I am just happy she is eating. Breakfast is the most important meal.
