Tip of the Day May 2

Dinner for tonight is another paternal family favorite, Chicken Baked Samm. We added green beans to the meal tonight. Audrey liked helping with the green beans more so that is what I let her do.
  • Chicken thighs
  • Chicken broth
  • Onions, chopped
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • Green beans
Brown the chicken on both sides (I always use the broiler). Place a half inch of broth in oven proof dish and place chicken in. Put onions and mushrooms on top. Bake at 350°F until no longer pink.
Audrey's Tasks:
  1. Place chicken in dish
  2. Pour mushrooms and onions over dish
  3. Snap green beans
Mom's Tasks:
  1. Gather ingredients
  2. Brown Chicken
  3. Put chicken in oven
This is actually a dish my in-laws got from a diet book and they have it when they are watching calories. It is tasty and simple. There is something about cooking the chicken with the mushrooms that makes it very delicious. We submitted this recipe as part of The Grocery Cart Recipe Swap.
