Recap of Wed Show

As Audrey plays with her blocks and sings, "Someone is in the kitchen I know..." I am reminded that I never gave a detail of how dinner went. After we ate Audrey went to bed and we needed to relax. It was not that hard of a meal but Audrey's sister was very fussy through the entire evening and that made for a delayed dinner time. We started preparations at 4:30PM and did not get the omelet in the oven until around 5:30PM. If there are no demanding babies in your home it should go much quicker. Here is the breakdown:

Audrey's Tasks:
  1. Chop apples and potatoes (For the Apple and Potato Fries recipe I added last minute)
  2. Crack the eggs (her favorite, check out the photos in the previous post)
  3. Grate the cheese
  4. Beat the eggs and add all additional ingredients
  5. Help pour the omelet into the pan
Mom's/Guest Tasks:
This show Audrey's guest was her dad
  1. Chop and saute onions and garlic
  2. Grease pan (Audrey could have done this but she was getting tired at this point)
  3. Help Audrey mix and pour omelet
  4. Place omelet in oven
  5. Cook Apple and Potato Fries
Dinner turned out wonderful. Audrey really is getting better at cracking the eggs. Next time I am going to have her watch the video before beginning (we were too pressed for time this show.) She still loves to crack the eggs.

Next show we will make Audrey's special Muffin Cup Meatloaf from Rachel Ray. I will post the recipe soon. I would love to have readers try out some of our recipes and let us know any tips or troubles you discover.
